I'd suggest she quit the team because she could no longer compete with the boys, and decided to make some hay in the process.

Girls in the middle of their growth spurt (which generally happens from about 10 to around 15) can be bigger and stronger than boys their own age. That changes once boys enter their own growth spurt during their teens.

A 16 year old girl going against a 16 year old male athlete (who doesn't hold back just because she's a girl) risks being crippled.

Exactly. I’m pretty sure the coach, in no way, had access to this student’s medical records. If that’s the case, how could he disclose “medical info” that he has never seen?

If he has seen the medical info...WHO disclosed it to him, and why aren’t THEY being pilloried for the disclosure?

It seems like this “personal” info was freely passed around.

I don’t know where she wrestled before now but if it was in this school system everyone already knows that she is a girl.

Any of the male wrestlers that do not know she is a girl would immediately know she is a girl once she disrobed in the locker room.

The privacy issue would be made moot at that point.

A Freshman is what? 14 years old? At that age are they really responsible enough to make such a huge decision about making surgical changes, etc?
