ABC News’ “The View” star Joy Behar has reportedly apologized for recent comments that mocked Vice President Pence’s Christian faith.
Disney CEO Bob Iger said during the Q&A portion of a shareholder meeting on Thursday that Behar apologized directly to Pence on the phone.
A source close to Pence confirmed to Fox News that Behar did apologize.
The shareholder who asked the question was Justin Danhof, who is the general counsel for the National Center for Public Policy Research. Danhof told Iger that some of Disney’s recent decisions are “strange when trust in media is at an all-time low” and referred to Disney’s ESPN as a “24/7 anti-Trump tirade channel” before bringing up the Behar controversy.
“What do you say to the tens of millions of Christians, and President Trump supporters, that your networks have so blatantly offended and ascribed hateful labels?” Danhof asked. “Specifically, do you think, like Mrs. Hostin and Mrs. Behar, that the Christian faith is akin to a dangerous mental illness?”
Iger responded by saying, “I don’t know where I start. First of all, Joy Behar apologized to Vice President Pence directly. She made a call to him and apologized, which I thought was absolutely appropriate.”

A non-public apology to all those she offended is a non-apology, as she herself has demanded of others.
Big deal. “Apologies” are a dime a dozen these days. “Apologies” are “wildly popular” in the vulgar society in which we currently reside. They don’t mean anything.
A public apology would also have been appropriate. That thought apparently doesn't occur to Iger.
At least she had enough intelligence to understand the proper option to pick.

Talking to Jesus indicates mental illness. But celebrity a**holes who are into New Age whackoism or are duped into joining the cult of Scientology and find nothing wrong with sharia law are perfectly normal. I HATE the celebrity culture.

She insulted more than Pence. A public apology is required.

Yep - you say something stupid publicly, you apologize publicly. But just because she apologizes does not mean she thinks differently now. Highly doubt it.
I hope Pence told her to take it to Jesus because, Jesus is why it matters and I’m not talking about her lawn guy.
The leadership of Walt Disney long ago became a social disease.
During the past year, it has become evident that the MSM - and much of Hollywood - are virulently anti-Christian. Behar is just one small part of the problem.
Not good enough. Should be fired.
