I find it hard to believe he stabbed himself to death.

Good friend of mine killed himself by stabbing himself in the heart. Twice. I still think he was murdered. He spelled his own name wrong in his suicide note. LA Coroner found no wrongdoing.

He didn’t off himself with a bullet, at least that is not in the article.
