Special counsel Robert Mueller has gathered evidence that a secret meeting in the Seychelles just before the inauguration of Donald Trump was an effort to establish a back channel between the incoming administration and the Kremlin - apparently contradicting statements made to lawmakers by one of its participants, according to people familiar with the matter.

Read the LAST paragraph first.

Prince had no formal role with the Trump campaign or transition. However, according to people familiar with the Seychelles meeting, he presented himself as an unofficial envoy for Trump to high-ranking Emiratis involved in setting up his discussion with the Russian official.

In January 2017, Erik Prince, the founder of the private security company Blackwater, met with a Russian official close to Russian President Vladimir Putin and later described the meeting to congressional investigators as a chance encounter that was not a planned discussion of U.S.-Russia relations.

BFD if it WAS a planned meeting anyway -- the election was over!

Still not a crime for an incoming administration to have contact with a foreign government.

Mueller has nothing even if the details are true.

Just how is it a crime for an incoming administration to have informal or unofficial conversations with representatives of foreign nations?

Conducting foreign policy is now a crime?

If they try to impeach Trump for some BS like this, all bets are off. The Dem traitors don’t get punished, there is no rule of law. They think nothing will happen. They’ll be in for a shock.

It was right before the inauguration, so it was after the election. During that time an incoming Administration is expected to engage with foreign powers. However, Prince was not even park of the Trump campaign or transition team or Administration. So, even if he was talking to someone, so what?

WTF. Trump was President-elect. He could establish any channel he wanted whether openly or back channel. This has no connection with collusion. In fact it begs the question. If Trump had been colluding with the Russians during the campaign, why would he need to establish a back channel? How would he have communicated with them?

It’s known fact now that JFK set up a back channel to the Kremlin during his presidency with RFK serving as the go between. I guess JFK was a Russian stooge too!

Beyond that, how is it a crime for an incoming administration to try and set up a back-channel?
