[FULL TITLE] [Report: Facebook Algorithm Change Hits Fox, Breitbart, Conservative Sites – CNN, New York Times Unaffected]

A report from the Outline finds that conservative sites including Breitbart News and Fox have also seen dramatic falls in engagement, while mainstream sites like CNN and the New York Times were unaffected.

Using data from analytics service Buzzsumo, the online publication found a stark contrast in the engagement rate for conservative media vs. mainstream media, with the former dropping sharply while the latter held steady. The Outline also found a decline in engagement for what they call left-wing “clickbait” sites, including Shareblue and BuzzFeed.

So does that mean that this is an in-kind contribution to liberal Democrats in an election year and a “pay-for-play” shakedown to get seen anymore targeting those on the right of center?

What does the FEC say about such queen advertising and messaging “rules” on a common carrier site?

It is NOT an “algorithm” change. It is a silencing.

This Zuckerberg marxist created facebook by himself in 2003.

Conservatives can create a facebook clone website that has no censorship very easily. I hope someone does this.

Boycot facebook.

Ditto for twitter, google etc

These are just web sites. And the tech is not that complicated .

What this means is Facebook doesn’t want to see a repeat of the Trump election. By censoring conservative views, they hope Democrats will sweep the midterms.

When facebook downthrottles content for one political party but not the other (and then offers to “restore” circulation for payment per post from that censored party but not the favored party), that is a political contribution to Democrats. And Facebook is an international company.

But the FEC is worthless. No jailtime when Clinon and Gore knowingly illegally solicited campaign contributions from the Chi-Coms. No prosecution of voter intimidation. No prosecution of ballot stuffing. Etc etc.

Why would this activity be treated any different?

Myspace existed before facebook. What exactly did Zuckerschmuck “invent”?

Friendster existed even before Myspace.

Mark naziberg didn’t “create” squat.

He stole the whole concept of facebook after others wrote most of the code behind it.

Is Facebook viewed as a "common carrier site"? Maybe it should be ... but I don't think it is classified that way. Facebook is not a carrier. It is an over-the-top web site. I suspect it can pretty much do whatever it wants.

So facebook can refuse to bake the cake?

Tell that to someone who prints t-shirts or booklets.

Does facebook “publish” users content for view by those connected to the user’s account as friends or followers?

This Zuckerberg marxist created facebook by himself in 2003.

Not at all by himself - the little rodent-faced punk stole the idea from two white boys [brothers as it happens] at Harvard, hired a code head and the rest is history. And please tell me it wasn't 15 years ago!!

Boycott Facebook? Impossible for me! Maybe I knew all along! ... Or something! At any rate, never did and never will go anywhere near it, ( as I’ve stated before on this forum. )

( I hope nobody thinks they’re going to catch me out, because they’re not! )
