It's primary season for the 2018 midterm elections, and voters in Texas are the first in the nation to head to the ballot box.
There's a surge of energy among Democrats that's enough to concern Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, who has his own primary race to deal with Tuesday. Cruz is fighting for reelection for the first time since entering the Senate in 2013.

Didn’t work in 2016. Wouldn’t work today if Republicans showed up. Sadly republicans are not interested this time.

Today will only pick the candidates to be on the general election ballot
in Nov. I’m not there are a lot of contested races on the GOP ballot even
down to the local level. Also don’t forget that a large percentage will
vote during the 10 days of early voting.
