I remember in the late 60s and 80s there used to be sweeps for illegal firearms in the projects. The argument for it was that it was federal property till they stopped when the ACLU took them to court.

An what a day to say this on! Today is the aniversary of the Dredd Scott v. Sanford decision.
In that decision Judge Taney wrote that IF blacks were to be considered CITIZENS one of their rights would be “TO KEEP AND CARRY ARMS WHEREVER THEY WENT.”
I’m all for confiscating the guns of violent black thugs.
So the NAACP is trying to continue the work started by Jim Crow laws.
I guess it’s true...everything comes back in style eventually.
