New Poll Shows Conor Lamb Leading Saccone In Race For 18th Congressional District
KDKA - CBS Pittsburgh ^ | 3/5/2018

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – With just days to go before Pennsylvania’s 18th Congressional special election, a new poll shows Democrat Conor Lamb leading Republican Rick Saccone.

The Emerson College poll shows Lamb leading Saccone 48% to 45%, but it’s worth noting that is within the margin of error.

The college says the data was collected between March 1-3 using an online and landline sample of nearly 500 likely voters.

The survey shows that this special election has garnered a lot of voting excitement, with 56% saying they are very excited to vote.

Lamb is leading 57% to 40% in Allegheny County which accounts for about 42% of the vote.

President Trump won the district 58% to 39% in 2016, and Mitt Romney fared equally well in 2012.

This would be a monumental earthquake if the Democrats win this heavily GOP seat - Dems sometimes do not even bother running a candidate at all this seat so solidly GOP. No seat in the country is safe if this seat is lost. Yet, the talk show circuit doesn't mention this seat is up for grabs. There's no "Hannitize the vote", etc. - discussing the memos is important but if people don't know elections are in fact occurring, the Democrats will continue to pick them off piece by piece.

And if this race is lost, donors will be quickly closing their wallets to the GOP for the fall, seeing it as an obvious lost cause to them.

I thought this district was the reason Trump announced the steel tariffs.

500 voters is not a reliable sample. 1000 + is what is required.

Also, look at the “news organization” writing it. CBS knows that 500 voters isn't a good sample for the entire district but they are clearly running the poll anyway in order to help Lamb and hurt Saccone. They WANT republican voters to think there's no reason to even show up.

This poll might have started before the president announced the tariffs on steel and aluminum.

That decision may skew the vote... we’ll see.

Also, the GOP has taken in huge amounts of money in the last year. I wish they would pour some of that cash into this district. The RATS certainly are spending tons of cash, probably with the help of Soros, to grab this seat for Lamb.

The American electorate had better wake up to the fact their country is at stake once again this coming election.

I really think our side is failing to realize how disliked Trump really is by most people and, with as much BS that it is, the Mueller investigation has really damaged Trump and the Republicans. People actually do buy into what CNN pedals out to the public.

"Fear The Walking Dems"

"We're gonna get ya! WE'RE GONNA GET YA!"

They never quit. Since they're a minority party, they have to do the Walking Dead thing.

Well, we might as well just give up then, right? So many people “dislike” us, after all. Whatever will we do? I get that we can’t run against Hillary ever time but I don’t see how this Eeyore behavior benefits anyone. Trump is the president and he beat CNN once at their own game. He’ll do it again. If we surrender legitimacy to the “investigation” then we’ve already lost The only defense is the truth, that the entire “Russian meddling” story is politically motivated garbage designed by democrats and their allies in the bureaucracies and the MSM to stifle free speech and dissent against them and their globalist ambitions.

The GOP better wake up. The Dems are gaining, and in this instance, they are doing it in a fully legal fashion.

They’ve poured millions of dollars into this district. The Dem has dramatically outraised the Republican candidate, however, as the Dem base is motivated and the GOP base is sitting on their hands. It’s strange that all eyes were on the Georgia district and all hands on deck, last year but no one is discussing this race on our side in the talk radio circuit - they just want to discuss the memo, etc. And those things should be discussed - but not at the expense of pointing out often and repeatedly we need to be gearing up for these elections.

I hope you’re wrong about President Trump being so disliked.

I like to think the problem lies within the GOP party itself not supporting his MAGA agenda and not having the backbone to demand and end to Mueller’s tyranny.
Speaker Ryan had the temerity to denounce President Trump’s tariff initiatives, when he ought to be focused on defunding Mueller’s hideous witch hunt!!!

(President) Trump motivated to become a republican after 38 years on the other side—and I appreciate the fact that he represents our ONLY HOPE to save our beloved country!!!
He has my vote for reelection in 2020 and I keep praying for his success each and every day!!

Do FREEPERS NEED TO KNOCK ON ALL THE DOORS IN THAT AREA?

Do we need to develop some brief red-pilling info packets to hand out in such situations?

Emerson College poll conducted March 1-3 (Trump Tariffs announced on 1st)

48-45% (+/-4.8%)

Sample size = 474 (”likely voters”)

I coultnt find weighting of party affiliation.

The ads have been seemingly non-stop for weeks, if not months. At first it was overwhelmingly Lamb ads, but lately more Saccone ads are showing up. I live in Pittsburgh.

BULLSPIT lamb is not up 17. The entire county is not the district, polling allegheny county is a meaningless poll.

If lamb pulls off the upset it would be by a few points. Last polls I saw that polled the actual district showed Saccone up 3-6. Which is far closer than it should be, republicans need to turn out if they don’t lamb may sneak in
