Just remembered you mentioned, last night, seeing a pic of the moon reflecting off some of the standing water around here. At the time, the moon wasn't in a good position.

I tried to go to sleep early but that didn't happen. LOL! Got back up a little after 5 a.m. and went out with the camera. The moon was low enough in the west to hit the "river" in Clara's field and a ditch carrying water from the back yard. Turned out not too bad.

Oh my! After what happened at the trio nest last year with the intruder, it must have really been unsettling to see an intruder with Mrs. N! I haven’t kept tabs on DNN very much though I peek in once in a while.
I was watching DH because they were having owl problems again, as well as lining up tunes for tonight.

Our rain was part of the system that’s slamming NE now. Cold air came in behind it and we’ll be nippy the next week with too many nights in the 30s. Not good for all the trees and flowers blooming.

I played around with the moon reflected in the ditch water, too, and got a couple that were decent. I’ll dig one of those up.

That video is HILARIOUS!! ROTFLMAO! Whoever put it together did a great job, and the expressions on Romeo’s and Juliet’s faces fit perfectly! Had to watch it a couple of times. :-)

It was just the craziest thing. There was absolutely no violence, He just walked around the nest moving stuff. When he jumped up to the branch after being nipped, she grumbled and put the stuff back where it belonged on HER nest. He was there for a very long time. Maybe there’s a video.

I just got notice on FB that the Norwegian WT Eagle nest is closed down due to lack of funding. *sniff* I was really looking forward to watching little ones from there this year!

Home safely...had to do my last thing, getting air in my tires, in the gentle snow and dark, but I got it done. And last night in the sunshine I got duck food, my farthest Saturday errand.

I’m feeling quite proud of myself for planning a bit ahead. d:o)

The ducks never came up last evening....I could hear lots of quacks in the creek, but not a single one came up into the yard. Usually a sign that the hawk has been dining. I’ll look for evidence in the daytime.
