WITHOUT GUNS....

Posted on 03/01/2018 5:35:00 PM PST by cradle of freedom

Without guns: We would not have won the Revolutionary War against the British Empire, the biggest empire in the world. They fought fiercely to retain their colony, no empire wants to give up anything!

Without guns the Constitution would have meant nothing! The British would have taken the Constitution and wiped their a$$es with it while laughing in our faces.

Without guns there would be no land of opportunity. The British would have continued to grind us down until we became serfs. They didn't care about reason or philosophy, they cared about retaining their power and their wealth at others expense.

The Bill Ayers scheme for public education prevents American kids from knowing about how America came to be. The new political sages —the 14 to 18 age range new literati— don’t need no stinkin’ History, they have emotion!

They didn’t (DON’T) care about reason or philosophy, they cared (CARE) about retaining their power and their wealth at others expense.

I have often wondered how the holocaust may have been different if a Jewish man stood on his front porch with a bolt action rifle and said “No!”

In the Revolutionary War the colonists (civilian rebels) had the right to own and use the same rifles that were issued to the British military.

Protecting that right is what the 2nd Amendment was all about - to prevent citizens from being out gunned by a tyrannical government.
It wasn't written to protect the rights of hunters and recreational shooters - although they are protected along with everyone else.

Today the gun grabber argument is that civilians should not be permitted to own military style weapons.

That argument flies in the face of the original intent of the 2nd Amendment.

The Nazis would have had to deal with a large guerilla movement within their midst.

The British did confiscate guns. General Gage ordered them turned in Boston, “for safekeeping” then seized them.

Modern Boston never learned the lesson for m that.

There were no wholesale deaths, wars with deaths and any other killings prior to invention of the powder driven projectile.

Every bodied old and of natural causes.

Without guns, the civil war would have a large card game.

“In the Revolutionary War the colonists (civilian rebels) had the right to own and use the same rifles that were issued to the British military.”

The colonists had better rifled weapons compared to the British smooth bore muskets.

"In the Revolutionary War the colonists (civilian rebels) had the right to own and use the same rifles that were issued to the British military."

The colonists had no right whatsoever to attack Fort Ticonderoga, take the cannon by force, drag them to Boston, and end the occupation of Boston by threatening to sink the British fleet in the harbor.

The Second Amendment is to insure that future citizens of our Republic will not have to start any battle against a tyrannical government by having to first obtain weapons. They were guaranteed the right to keep and bear arms.
