With all respect for President Trump it is time for him, to assert his Presidential power and authority.

Order Sessions to open DOJ investigations into the Obama/Hillary/DOJ/FBI/IRS/State Dept. criminal actions or voluntarily retire.

If Sessions won’t go voluntarily fire him.

What would be the fallout?

Democrats screaming for impeachment?
They are doing it anyway.

They will be drowned out by Trump supporters going “Hell Yes!”

And if democrats really start to threaten the president he should take a page from their book and cry “COVER UP!”

Sessions was a terrible mistake. Sadly IMO Trump is stuck with him for the first term.

Sessions, the original “Snowflake.”

Trump can not fire any cabinet member. He has to go through congress. Firing a cabinet member is what got Andrew Johnson impeached.

I’m convinced appointing Sessions had to be some kind of secret deal Trump was forced to make to have peace with the top RINOs in late 2016.

*****************

Nobody could be as weak and ineffective as Sessions unless it was intentional. The only logical explanation to me is that Sessions was a plant from day one. Whether he is working for the RINO’s or defending the Deep State is open for debate. He certainly is not working for Trump.

Rosenstein is the de facto AG. That is painfully obvious.

Trump needs to fire Sessions ASAP. If he doesn’t act the stonewalling by Sessions will only get worse and become more consequential. The future of Trump’s presidency depends on him having a fearless, principled and proactive AG. Someone like Pam Bondi for example.

Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III made the right decision. It’s clear the FISA court was misled by Lynch/Comey Inc. and they will be held to account.

The only open issue is will Trump pardon about a dozen top democrats - from big-eared Hussein on down.

The broader conclusion is that US Senators are basically WORTHLESS and being in the Senate essentially qualifies you for NOTHING!

***************

I could not agree more! They are just a bunch of talkers, opportunists and professional liars. That is the entirety of their “skill set”. Politicians in general are not capable of holding down any other meaningful or demanding jobs that require a person to produce a useful good or service.

In short, they are just empty suits.

Why should the President be surprised. Give me a break.

Wrong. Show me the legal or Constitutional provision that prohibits the president from firing his AG.

Cabinet secretaries serve at the pleasure of the president, who can dismiss them at any time.

“Someone who follows POTUS should tweet: “Sessions was chosen as AG, where he has been utterly ineffectual, and we lost his Senate seat in AL as a result. Choosing Sessions was DISGRACEFUL”

KEEPING SESSIONS IS DISGRACEFUL. Loosing respect.

There used to be a Tenure of Office Act that protected cabinet members but it was repealed in 1887.

Trump has nobody to blame by himself for this. Sessions was his worst appointment bar none... and he keeps him there.

He needs to fire Sessions, Rosenstein, and the next three levels down in both the DOJ and FBI - including the guy who replaced Comey. He needs a hard-ass cop in charge of the FBI, and a proven state AG from a Red State to take over from Sessions. They both need to be hired with a mandate to clean out the leakers, political hacks, crooks, and Constitutional violators. But I don’t at this time if either would be cleared by the Senate in an election year. The President’s loyalty to Sessions led to his gravest error. Giuliani should have been appointed with instructions to immediately fire Comey, Rosenstein, McCabe and any others who were found to have breached their oaths. It had to happen early and fast. Anything the President does now will be called a “cover up” or retaliation. If the GOP doesn’t increase its presence in the Senate (which should be a no-brainer given the vulnerable Dems in Red States), the President may be stuck with Sessions or some other compromise nominee for the rest of his term.

"Firing Sessions is not the problem - it’s what happens next. His replacement needs Senate approval. 49 Democrats and the usual RINO suspects - McCain, Flake, Collins - will block approval of the new nominee, leaving democrat hack Rosenstein in charge for years. Republican Senators owe their allegiance to the Senate Club, not the party, not the President, and definitely not America. Sessions is a member of the Club."

Interim AG. So the President could choose anyone. Somebody like Rudy G. could have half the damn government under indictment before the Senate gets off their duff on confirmation.

"Trump can not fire any cabinet member. He has to go through congress. Firing a cabinet member is what got Andrew Johnson impeached."

What?

The Presidents cabinet is just that. They work for him directly. He can fire everyone of them (except the VP of course) for any reason or no reason.
