A Prince George's County man has been arrested for allegedly throwing sulfuric acid on his female roommate’s face and upper body.
Bekre Abdela, 28, was arrested and charged Monday with attempted murder, assault and additional charges.
According to Prince George's County police, Abdela threw sulfuric acid at his female roommate, an adult female, during a roommate dispute on Feb. 24 in the 1000 block of East-West Highway in the unincorporated portion of Hyattsville. When officers responded to a call about the dispute around 7:30 p.m., they found the victim suffering from apparent chemical burns.
Abdela fled the scene following the attack, police said, but was found and arrested two days later on Monday.

On the 24th day of the second month of each year, muslim men dress in their colorful garb, and throw acid into the faces of women who have committed some transgression against them personally, or Islam...or for no reason at all, perhaps just for being women!
It is generally a time of great hilarity, and muslim women wearing hijabs (probably to cover their own chemical burn marks) bring various food dishes and egg the men on.
A good time is generally had by all, except the women who have acid thrown in their faces, but in time, they accept the wisdom and celebratory traditional nature of the ritual!

Could we please pry Emma Lazarus’s maudlin poem off the Statue of Liberty now? It’s certain she could not have foreseen how wretched the refuse is that now is washing up on America’s shore. These are not close to being citizen material.

Post #2- I am finding it difficult to believe it’s the mug shot, if it’s the same person as https://www.facebook.com/bekre.abdela It’s MD we are talking about. We know cops in many cases are every bit as politicized as anything else (Florida sheriff), so it’s possible they were told to release a different picture of Abdel to the media than his mugshot. Who knows.

Where do these people even get sulfuric acid? I haven’t seen any since high school where it was demonstrated on a science class.
I don’t think he would have much trouble getting acid.
I wonder if this is his first acid attack.
I’ve had batteries with the sulfuric acid shipped in a separate container and used muriatic acid (hydrochloric acid ) for cleaning brick.
But I do NOT keep the stuff around the house?

These days there aren’t very many places on the African continent that would be described that way.
I don’t want to blame the victim, but I HOPE she wasn’t a gullible lib who thought she just had to take in a Muslim refugee. At least a Muslim woman would know what she was buying in to, or should.
