People with that monkey on their back never seem to realize that it’s their monkey.
It’s the same as people who think everyone is looking at them, talking about them etc. The path out is to realize that: A. you’re not that important, B. people are wrapped up in their own affairs, C. you are responsible for being friendly and making the world a friendlier place not for other people. Their loss if they have a hangup and in truth you will never know what’s in another person’s heart & mind so keep a good thought and give them the benefit of the doubt.
