Even with Patterson’s flaws, I voted for him as the one with the best shot of stopping the coronation of King George III.
And, perhaps, saving the Alamo as a monument to and for Texans.
Patterson attended a tea party express event at the Alamo.
He was/is a friend to the Daughter’s of the Republic of Texas. Also, when he was Land Commissioner, he was always promoting the Texas Veterans’ Land Programs via tv, radio, and other media.
I have never seen Jorge P doing one single promo for benefits that TX has for Veterans. Also, Bush is a Carpetbagger. He will never “get it”, never understand the Texas ethos.
I voted for Patterson as well. Sadly, George P has his family to blame for his upcoming political demise. He had a promising future in the Texas Republican party until his grandparents, father and uncle bragged about voting for Hillary (or not voting for Trump) in 2016.
I’m not the only one voting this way. Overheard a couple talking at breakfast yesterday and they were voting against him for exactly the same reason.
WE need a real conservative turnout in this year’s primary. Since Texas is not closed primary, the Democrats are really organized and motivated to cause trouble. They are running a big government guy against our very conservative Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick. In Texas LG has most power to get things done. Public school boards, teachers, administrators are all up in arms and have been told Patrick is the reason their health insurance has gone up and they feel threatened by vouchers and retirement,Patrick’s push for property tax restraint, etc. They run ads saying Patrick hates teachers. It’s emotional scare tactics but I am afraid it is working. County governments are similarly fearful of having their money restricted. I know the extreme increase in health insurance has them in a bind but instead of pushing Congress and Senate to repeal and replace they whine about state gov not getting into Obamacare exchange.
There are moderates running against strong conservatives and vice-versa.
Vote! Tell conservatives to vote!
I voted for Jerry Patterson as well.
