I am in an odd position, my company’s owner decided to ask who all had CHL, then he just kinda deputized us all for no extra pay.
While I appreciate that I can carry at work, self preservation will be my top priority.
If I have a clear shot on my way out the door I’ll take it and when the cops get there I aint gonna get shot but a cop in the chaos.
I would decline. Why accept the liability without compensation?

Your boss is a fool. But I could not, would not sit by and let my coworkers get shot. A bit disappointed by that. You have legal cover as well. In a work environment you are granted special relationship with coworkers. The same with family or close neighbors. That loosens up the threshold for getting involved to protect others life and property.
