I have no combat or LEO experience, but as a CHL holder I have adopted the position that I WILL put myself in danger to defend the defenseless when faced with an unimaginable violent scenario. It’s a responsibility and a choice for me personally. I could never view it differently.
Thus, just like I cannot comprehend how a soldier could display cowardice in battle, I find it most heinous that trained LEO would not act to protect children in a school setting.
Absent cowardice, a choice was made based on a rationalization for personal safety and children died as a result.
