Dang! I missed that action when I went back in the video. The current cam is hard to get to go to where you want it to and I don’t like it.
I saw her “dancing” just before she laid, realized what was happening, and watched til I got the first glimpse of the egg. Then moved around a bit and saw Dad on the nest but neither seemed upset at the time.
So she’s the same female but has a new mate? I thought they might both be different birds this year. Something must have happened to Dad since as I understand it, they mate for life.
This new guy, Bill, sure is a dud. :-(
Hmmmm, I’ll have to check on DNN then. Getting to the point it’s going to be hard to keep up with all dese behbehs. LOL
Fortiflora is a probiotic for cats and they make a dog formula too. I gave it to Churchill for a while after he was diagnosed with IBD several years ago.
Gotta get some good bacteria back in her gut and it should help a lot.
If she isn’t doing any better in a couple of weeks, she goes back for other tests.

She certainly didn’t need the extra excitement this afternoon. She did NOT look happy while she was “dancing”.
I noticed the first egg doesn’t look very good today. looks like it’s covered with hairline cracks. It’s been left uncovered an awful lot in those frigid temps and might have frozen.
Fortiflora works pretty well. Sasha doesn’t feel bad based on her behavior but it’ll be nice to get her to the point she isn’t hungry all the time and can put on some weight. That little girl is a bottomless pit and thin as a rail.
