I wish all this hatred was directed at the heroin/opioid crisis. Drug overdoses by opioids — a class of drugs that includes prescription painkillers as well as heroin and potent synthetic versions like fentanyl—killed 64,070 Americans in 2016, a 21 percent increase over the previous year. These deaths exceeded the 40,327 motor vehicle deaths in 2016. This number also exceeds the 58,200 American lives lost for the entire Vietnam War!! Where are the anti-opioid demonstrations like we saw in the 1960s against the War in Vietnam? Where? Where? Crickets.

Most of these overdoses are directly attributable to the use of fentanyl, which is a potent and inexpensive synthetic opioid, mixed with heroin or sold as heroin. In the illegal market, fentanyl in the hands of amateur “chemists” creates an unpredictable dosage for the user. It is virtually a Russian roulette. Now that fentanyl has been targeted as the main culprit, where is the outcry?
We know that fentanyl and heroin are coming in from our Southern border because of corrupt governments more interested in American money in their banks from the northern user. Were is the Wall? Where is the national guard? Why haven’t those chartered buses rolled into the state capitals and Washington DC filled with demonstrators crying for a stronger border against fentanyl and heroin?

Then there is the collateral deaths manifest from the illegal drug industry. How many shootings have come from turf wars by the drug pushing gangs? Why are these deaths being put on the back burner? Is it because government leaders are lining their pockets from payoffs from the Drug Cartel? When I hear about transport planes full of illegal drugs landing at McChord AFB in Lakewood, Washington, I know the corruption is wide and it is DEEP.

Another manifestation of illegal drugs is the disruption of brain’s decision making functions. It causes children as young as babies to be beaten to death by a user. It causes family members to be murdered in an out of control rage. It causes families to be murdered in a home invasion robbery. It causes stupid things like driving under the influence and falling off a balcony. It causes a mother to take heroin while pregnant. These deaths, too varied to list, happen all across America. Where are the bus rolls because of them?

Answer: Those same anti-American pocketbooks funding the anti-Second Amendment movement are the same ones funding payoffs for the illegal drug industry.

Than you for letting me rant.

And almost without exception, every one of those "victims" made a conscious CHOICE to take the risk of death. Stupid is as stupid does!

Dana Dark is so damned obnoxious you can miss the message she barks, the same one that others so effectively deliver for the NRA, all day long.

Dana has to speak to the choir because those who could be persuaded are not. Thus, you had her before a hostile anti-gun audience of kids who thought she was a witch. Go figure.

Yeah, she’s got the RBF thing down. But I think she’s still easy on the eyes.

RBF? I hate acronyms because there are so many that I can’t remember what they all mean. LOL! Her looks are kind of creepy, but she is not homely, so I get what you’re saying.

I will say that Dana Dark is better a friend than to have as an enemy. Otherwise, we might all be thinking she would make a first class Nazi. At minimum she is, I suspect, a prickly character “to put it nicely”, (as Trump often says on occasion.

I learned about, “RBF,” from a gun-related private Facebook group I’m in.
It means, “Resting Bitch Face.”
Seems really appropriate for Dana, doesn’t it?
Still, I agree with you.
A better ally than enemy.

Have a great evening, Ma’am.

"every one of those "victims" made a conscious CHOICE to take the risk of death. Stupid is as stupid does!"

You have touched on a very significant aspect of an opioid's sabotage of the brain. New research has isolated one aspect of the biochemical effects: reduced loss aversion. This chemically induced pathway alteration creates decision-making deficits that result in a dramatic lack of judgment and a dramatically reduced concern for the consequences of ones actions. This action in itself facilitates the user’s decision to maintain their habit even when they are aware of the most negative consequences. This deficit causes a series of other complications: impaired self-control, impaired impulse control, the inability to plan for the future and long term memory loss. With these findings, it mystifies me why that information is not out and the drums to rid these biochemical poisons from society are not played.

I’ve always been interested to know what their Intel and Comm network is like. It’s like the Left has this covert network with which to recruit people to their causes. Amazing how they seem to recruit the most hate filled and they feel safe being among their own, as a member of the mob.

Unless the drugs are prescribed (which is a whole different conversation) that decision has to be to engage in an illegal activity to obtain the item upon which they are fixated. You have to locate a criminal and do 'business" with him, knowingly. It's not like "here it is, will I take it or not take it?".

Then (aside from prescribed drugs), what makes the "victim" take a needle in the arm the first time? If they avoid the first "hit" they'll never be addicted.
