Mitt’s back. The former governor of Massachusetts and occasional native son of Michigan has a new persona: Mr. Utah. He’s going to bring Utah conservatism to the whole Republican party and to the country at large. Wholesome, efficient, industrious, faithful. “Utah has a lot to teach the politicians in Washington,” he says in announcing his Senate campaign. Maybe.

Romney’s severe disability is found in the Constitution: “No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States.” Romney looks, acts, and thinks like an American noble, one who tragically cannot be made into a duke or earl. If America gave out titles, surely the Romneys would have received one or more by now. In such a world, Romney’s sense of duty, and the sense of deference in the public to excellence like his, would have provided him with suitable offices.

Most importantly, Mitt is a Republican vote in the Senate.
He is not a maverick disruptor like john McCain or Rand Paul. When the chips are down, Mitt will toe the party line.

There are so many things incorrect in that statement, I don’t know where to begin.
He welcomed the endorsement and also seeks support from Utah voters.
What does "Republican vote in the Senate" mean? They've shown us that without doubt the vast majority of Republican US Senators are traitors to their voting fodder and enslaved by their paymasters.
The best that can be said is Mitt Romney is not a Democrat. The only agenda he serves is his own.

Mitt Romney acted in lock step with Ted Kennedy when he was Gov of MA.
He is a danger to the US as sure as Kennedy was. Its foolish to think otherwise.
Its even worse than that. At least a noble is tied to a geographic area. The Duke of York doesn’t suddenly become the Duke of Suffolk. Romney is carpet-bagging across the country until he gets his title.
Mitt was trying to be the Baron of La Jolla, Earl of Boston, and Duke of Utah.
Had hoped a true conservative would rise up in Utah and knock Romney out of the running. Not to be. Well, maybe Romney will vote with Trump’s program 75% of the time, and that is better than a Democrat who would vote 0% for President’s proposals...
