The Parkland school shooting has made media stars out of at least two of the survivors, students Emma Gonzalez and David Hogg. Both are advocates of additional gun control laws, and have been extremely critical of President Trump. That is surely their right, as it is also their right to take this moment of national attention to promote their views.
But is interesting to note how the pair have become so media-savvy, and are emphasizing media exposure over other priorities. On CNN this morning, asked whether they would be there when Parkland re-opened, Gonzalez said:
“As soon as we can, we are going to go back into the school. As soon as they say school is on Monday, I’m going to be there—I’m pretty sure. Unless I have interviews — unless we have interviews.”

So one view might be that they’re taking advantage of their friends’ tragic deaths to get their 15 minutes...nah, THAT couldn’t be it...
I saw them interviewed on FNS as well as other Sunday shows and they offered Republicans who get $$$ from the NRA a chance to start fresh and meet with them to repudiate the NRA and 2nd Amendment to not be targeted in November.
The Republicans that did show up on the Sunday shows looked like frighted hostages praising these brats.
I will not criticize these kids. Their lives were traumatized and they lost friends and teachers. If they want to try to find solutions, more power to them.
The media is less mature than the students....they’re just after “bash Trump” sound bites.
They make a cute couple. Think of the fun they could have switching sexes every couple of days.
I respect that, and as I wrote:

What if they are Russian bot planting discord to disrupt our republic and facilitate the repeal of the Bill of Rights? (....and the Communists, Marxists, Democrats, and Progressives - pardon the redundancy - cheer....)
Have they hired agents yet I wonder? Books and movies to follow I’m sure.
Last week, high school kids were eating laundry detergent and this week, we’re trusting their sage advice
School is THAT important.
Sheesh.
Know they have been traumatized but they sound spoiled, condescending and arrogant. Can you imagine any of them in the military and facing real combat?
Their lives might have been traumatized ......
.....but surely not as much as the young girl who barely survived after being shot....
.....yet gladly and with her family gathered smiled broadly and welcomed the President and First Lady when they visited her bedside!
These two, Hogg, etc.... are being used, imo
The President WILL do something about this....

Liberal fascists (Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Ho, Castro, etc.) have established a long history of using impressionable children as props to advance their totalitarian objectives, and always under the disguise of protective benevolence -— “We have a moral imperative and obligation to save our future generations of children from _____________” But, it always seemed to result in disarming their citizenry through the government’s confiscation of firearms. You know what happened next.
How would these same “angry students” react to the recommendation that internet social media sites be banned, and smart phone possession and use be restricted to adults 21-years-of-age and older because there’s a direct correlation between their use and mass shootings perpetrated by teenagers and young adults?
Products of a failed education system that are only propaganda factories of diversity, PC, social justice, liberal progressive agenda driven narratives
Thing is, once you enter the political arena, you have to be prepared to participate fully. They are choosing to go very low just days after a tragedy. Very low.
I’ll criticize them all day long. “Waving the bloody shirt” does not excuse them. My God-given rights supersede their trauma.
Hey kiddies! Come get your 15 minutes of fame before they’re all gone!
