He’s a dickhead, Jim.
Of note: “defied a judges order” - not because she had her daughter baptized. Another hysterical headline.
I have mixed feelings.
OTOH it is good to see the man’s paternal rights also being respected in a court of law. Until now, men were regarded as ATMs to be looted at the whim of any woman they impregnated, who got to take his money and do as she pleased.
Family Court is no ones friend.... particularly when you werent married
Two weeks?
Should have been a year at least for religious fanaticism in a divorce case
Facebook strikes again and again and again. Whether she should have done this or not (boyfriend may have strong Christian views that are not Catholic). Stay off public media. You can let those you care about know about a religious or blessed event. Its not the whole worlds business!
At least the child has been baptized.
Well met!
Single parents? According to my reading of the Bible, they are a little outside the rule book.
There are some very sick blackrobed tyrants that shouldn’t be judging anyone.
To liberally quote Chariots of Fire, “with a name like Feit (Abrahams), he won’t be singing in the Chapel Choir”.
I’ve always understood that in the Jewish religion, the child is considered a Jew if the mother was a Jew.
Do Christian denominations have any tradition like that? How should these things be decided among parents?
For everyone pointing out she “defied a judge’s order” ... what right does a judge have to order a (Catholic) parent not to baptize her child? slippery slope
The day after that ruling, Stocks went ahead with the christening without notifying Schaff. He found out when Stock posted photos of the ceremony on Facebook, according to the station.
Schaffs attorney told the Charlotte Observer that Stocks was being punished, not for baptizing the girl, but for ignoring a judge.
If the 2 parents, even though apart, agreed, then what difference did it make to the judge???
And if the father was Jewish, or Pentecostal?
You think he has no say in this matter?
A heavenly crown for that mother!
Eternal salvation is worth temporary incarceration.
So where’s the punishment for all the women withholding the kids from visitation with dad that the court order says he gets?
He looks like an idiot.
Two words; Sad and silly.
I predict this little child will be taught by one parent to despise or disrespect the other parent. This is how it begins. Such treatment can become a way of life. All the child ever knows. “Remind me again, why do I hate Daddy?”
She is where she belongs as this has little about religion. It is just a messy divorce and a crazy woman.
