Bloomberg via MSN but still Bloomberg, so I assume the retriction on excerpting still stands. Regardless, it's an interesting article.

Actual investigative reporting.

Not one line claiming it to be Trumps fault? How could it not be?

It’s there in the middle of the article - The daily manager of the casino is an ex-Trump guy.

The Republicans run the government which allows the evil casino to operate while a lone Democrat tries to stop them.

This isn’t investigative journalism, it’s a lot of innuendo and gossip written down with a heavy bias to insinuate a LOT of things with no real evidence.

I’m not saying the casino is a clean operation either - but you never see this kind of writing against, say, socialist companies.

Considering scope, size and the clear malefic of the construction operation and practices alone its a dirty operation.

Personally I think that NO China base companies should be allowed to operate on US soil period. And this situation highlights many of the reasons why.

Wow!

Matthew Campbell should head the FBI.

You know what they say about losing money in a Chinese casino, don’t you?

An hour later, you’re ready to lose some more.

You could at least give a short blurb on what the story is about.

Saipan is a U.S. dependency struggling for revenue to fund the government. China has struck a deal to build a huge casino, which is likely being used by well-to-do Chinese nationals to sneak money out of China, and the whole project has been crooked from the start. Paying off the local legislature, importing illegal workers to build the resort, zero worker safety, ignoring building codes and any other local laws that they want to. It’s just about as shady a story as one is going to find.
