So if Republicans are responsible for these heinous murders because we oppose gun control aren’t Democrats responsible for the thousands of murders, rapes, robberies, etc committed by all the illegal aliens they don’t want to deport?

Leftists and gun-banners think things are evil, and that by removing evil things, this will somehow change the human heart.
This approach is doomed to failure. But no rational feedback is permitted to inform the leftists’ position. It is a faith proposition and they “feel” they are absolutely right.
None of their social-engineering has produced good fruit. Encouragement of all forms of depravity, civilian disarmament mixed with gun-free zones, produces predictable results — death, destruction and dismay.
They have “greenlighted” mass shootings, the very thing they accuse their political opponents of.
