Please join with fellow FREEPERS to pray for President Trump, Vice-President Pence, and for America: Government, Family, Military, Business, Education, Churches, and the Media.

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (I John 5:14)

for them who shall be heirs of salvation? – Hebrews 1:13

Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God;
and everyone who loves is born of God,
and knows God. – I John 4:7

God of Love,

Father, You are love’s Author, its Creator and its full Manifestation. You deliver love to us each and every day in ways beyond our own comprehension. In all things, You respond to us in love. You sent love to us in the form of a Baby Boy, born of a virgin. You sent love to us as Your Son taught us and healed us when He walked upon the earth. You sent love to us in the form of a dying King and Savior slain upon a Cross. You sent love to us when the stone was rolled away and the reality of our Risen Lord was realized. And You sent love to us as You called each of us to be Your child. Lord God, You are Love---the Perfect Love that casts out all fear; the Agape Love that triumphs over all; the love that passes all knowledge and fills us with Your fullness.

Lord God, Whose arm is not shortened that it cannot save, please protect President Trump from all those who seek his destruction. In the midst of all the criticism, we pray that You would help him to know Your love in a special way. We ask for Your wisdom to be shared with him---even as he sleeps. Keep him as the apple of Your eye, Lord, and hide him in the shadow of Your wings.

Father, we thank You that as an act of love, You send forth ministering spirits----angels to minister to those who shall be heirs of salvation. We commit every one of our military men and women to You, asking that You protect them and lead them in the paths of righteousness, that they may know You and abide by Your teachings. May they know the length, the breadth, the depth, and the height of Your love. May they be filled with all the fullness of Your love.

Lord God, please guard our Olympic athletes and keep all sheltered under the umbrella of Your protection. May Israel continue to be blessed as well as all those who bless her.

Father, we know that we so often assign our own carnal and worldly definitions to Your gift of love. Help us instead, Lord, to strive to be true lovers of the Word, and imitators of You, for then we will come closer to realizing the many blessings of Your own special love that knows no bounds. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

1 John 4:7-21

7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

13 This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.

14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.

16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.

18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

19 We love because he first loved us.

20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.

21 And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.

FATHER, please help us to release the bonds of fear and discouragement from our hearts. Help us to love those who have lied to us, placing us in bondage for these many years. Help us to forgive them. We are unable to do so if YOU are not here with us.
