Peoples lives are being shattered & destroyed... Is there no such thing any longer as Due Process?

Peoples lives are being shattered and destroyed by a mere allegation. Some are true and some are false. Some are old and some are new. There is no recovery for someone falsely accused - life and career are gone. Is there no such thing any longer as Due Process?

The #metoo allegations are fought in the court of public opinion. Due process is outlawed there. Evidence is often unnecessary in that court also.

“Rose McGowan’s ex-manager dies by suicide, family blames McGowan, Weinstein, media”

https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/2018/02/09/rose-mcgowans-ex-manager-dies-suicide-family-blames-mcgowan-harvey-weinstein-media/321568002/

I think accusations hitting fever pitched even without all the necessary evidence falling into place has to do with victims being undermined for so long: Nassar, Weinstein, etc...their victims were powerless, not listened to nor believed for years even when trying to initiate due process against them...

There is only this now, Mr. President, because the Left didn't get what it wanted.

Is there no such thing any longer as Due Process?

Hey, this would be an appropriate question for your AG. Wake him up and ask him.

No. It’s a travesty.

“Assault” is now apparently not repeatedly and enthusiastically (with FEELING) issuing verbal agreement with the latest Intersectional Victim Group.

Yes but for men like Weinstein, Nasser, and others: the “Law” was always on their side no matter how many women came forward...for decades...that’s why you see the backlash.

I agree the “MeToo” mob mentality is counter-productive and even dangerous, but let’s not pretend the rule of “law” in this hasn’t been a sham especially with regard to domestic and sexual abuse on the part of powerful men.

Has there been any evidence produced that Weinstein raped anyone or was it all casting couch stuff?

Good he’s fighting back against this. Chris Wallace on Fox, for example, was foaming at the mouth that the Trump Admin didn’t do anything about the “allegations” against Porter.

“Women and Child Abuse in Mormonism” - the power dynamics at work in cults like this are VERY lopsided and repressive.

I wish he said this when Roy Moore was hit with bogus charges, with the blessing of establishment Republicans. I also don't understand why EVERYONE working in the WH hasn't been fully vetted, including the Prince and the Princess. With all of the problems with leaks, it's not comprehensible that the process wasn't completed months ago.

I'm still a deplorable. But, my gosh. We're still fighting endless wars in Afghanistan and Syria. I'm okay with South and North Korea solving their peninsular situation. And if the vetting had been done in a timely manner, any questions could've been answered.
