KEIZER, Ore. – A man who worked for a tree trimming service was sentenced to prison time after he pleaded guilty to trying to push his co-worker into a wood chipper, head-first.
Officers arrested Scott Iverson on attempted murder and attempted assault charges after the incident back on May 1, 2017.
Iverson's co-worker at R&R Tree Service, Austin Crawford, told police they were working at a property on Moneda Avenue N when Iverson put him in a choke hold and tried to push him into the wood chipper machine.
Another employee intervened and stopped Iverson.
Iverson pleaded guilty to the attempted assault charge and was sentenced to 70 months in prison.
In some redneck circles, that behavior is just good old-fashioned chummy horsing around. Seriously.
Well, it least he was showing mercy by trying to put him in head first.
It would be sooooo much worse to go in it feet first.
Not stated, on whether he was fired for this.
At very least, suspended.

I guess he didn't get charged with attempted murder because the prosecutor couldn't rule out the possibility that he would have survived a trip through the wood chipper.
As Iverson lifted the man’s leg onto the feeding tube, another employee intervened and pulled Iverson off the victim.
Iverson told the other employee, “He’s a pedophile. I can tell by the way he’s talking.”

The victim has no criminal record of sexual abuse or felony convictions. He told police he and Iverson had no issues and he did not know why Iverson attacked him.

The victim is lucky he survived if you see my link under post 13 to an older article shows the picture of the guy who tried to shove him into the wood chipper the dude is pretty big, not fat but his shoulders are wide and he just looks like a big guy.
