Good point.
About 80 of the Iraqi Army’s 140 M1A1 tanks are at the 9th Armoured Division’s base in Taji. No more than 30 are operational.
Most are severely battle damaged or just worn out. They not only lack repair parts, but the mechanics are so ignorant, they don’t know what parts to order.
Militia’s have taken many tanks, but can’t keep them running or can’t get ammo, so they just sit.
