Fusion GPS, a firm paid by Hillary Clinton’s campaign, was paying the wife of a senior Department of Justice official as part of its efforts to gather opposition research on Trump, and the official then brought that research to the FBI — raising the question of to what extent the firm may have been attempting to pay for heightened access to the criminal justice system, and whether they would have hired her absent her spousal connection.
A declassified memo said Bruce “Ohr’s wife was employed by Fusion GPS to assist in the cultivation of opposition research on Trump. Ohr later provided the FBI with all of his wife’s opposition research, paid for by the DNC and Clinton campaign via Fusion GPS. The Ohrs’ relationship with Steele and Fusion GPS was inexplicably concealed from the” court when it was used to obtain a surveillance warrant.
Bruce Ohr was deputy associate attorney general until December. House investigators determined that he met personally with Glenn Simpson, Fusion GPS’ founder.
The FBI has limited resources to deal with a firehouse of information, so people seeking the FBI’s attention could potentially benefit from greasing the wheels in order to get info to the front of the queue and to a high level.
“The money sweetened the pot for the Ohrs, and it certainly made it easier for Fusion to get the dossier to be used before the court if they made that payment to Bruce Ohr’s wife,” former judge and Texas GOP Rep. Louie Gohmert told The Daily Caller News Foundation,

It’s time to put this stuff in front of a Grand Jury, or assign a special prosecutor to investigate the investigators.
This wasn’t about access: this was (I believe) an attempt to launch an investigation of Trump by the politically-controlled FBI as a means of deflecting public attention from the obvious crimes of the Clinton cabal prior to the election.
The fact that this operation continued after the election was simply more Democrat tactics - ‘if we can’t win, we’ll just destroy the victor and limit the damage.’
All this is like some small Peyton Place where the mayor is also the chief of police, his wife is city manager, the uncle is fire chief, the son is hospital director, the father in law is the judge, the daughter is the bank president.
It is corrupt.
Name her ... Nellie Ohr ... she has individual responsibility to account for beyond being someone’s wife ...

Who do you trust to investigate? The FBI?
It is more than reasonable to assume that Trump was not the only target.It seems certain that there were similar FISA warrants for low level Jeb Bush and Ted Cruz campaign members

Wouldn't surprise me. The Obama Administration larded the FBI and NSA with its hand-selected cronies. It would then directed those agencies for its own purpose. Once they began misusing the spy agencies, and got away with it, it became easier and easier to misuse it again and again. After awhile, I'm sure they didn't think twice about how they were using the agencies for their own political purposes.
I don’t trust any of them and I’m nearly certain nothing will come of this latest Ohr insult. That doesn’t change my comment as to what should happen.
Let us not forget John McCain’s role in all of this. Steele contacted McCain and offered him a copy of the dossier free of charge provided he share it with the FBI. This was after Steele had shopped the dossier to several parties for a fee.
McCain immediately dispatched a courier to London to obtain the dossier. McCain then took the dossier to the FBI. McCain had no way of knowing that the FBI already had access to the dossier through their back door via Nellie And Bruce Ohr. The FBI used McCain to get the tainted dossier through the front door and give it the appearance of legitimacy. The Deep State preyed on McCain’s hatred for President Trump.
I think McCain's hatred extends beyond Trump. Like Hillary he considers us deplorable.

Yes, all this goes straight to Obama & Clinton and that’s why I have no confidence the continued exposure of crimes will be taken seriously. I hope I’m wrong.
