Late Tuesday, the President’s State of the Union address and Democratic response were completed around 11:00 p.m. Eastern, but MSNBC kept it going live until 2:00 a.m. Eastern on Wednesday. While it’s doubtful you stayed up to watch, you missed some mind-numbingly stupid quotes.

Whether it’s suggesting Trump has committed treason or ghoulishly laughing about people fearing MS-13 gang violence, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, Joy Reid, and Ron Reagan succeeded in stooping to the lowest of lows.

So, here they are (presented in chronological order):

Also a thought the Democrats would seriously contemplate if they understood the message their behavior at the SOTU address sent to a lot of (formerly) patient Americans. They won’t because they don’t. They will just double down. As bullies usually do. But it won’t get the results they used to get and still expect. Those days are gone.

Yeah - they're not gonna work with Trump - they can't really. There's another aspect to their behaviors that no one's pointed out - they're holding out for the ongoing possibility that maybe, just maybe, some scheme or another will finally work to take out Trump - but in the meantime all they can do is run out the clock and hope something gets traction, ASAP. There are millions at stake in the rackets they are into or in support of, Trump is messing it up, and there are all sorts of bad actors screaming for a solution to make it stop. People ain't seen nothing yet.

Joy Reid complained that Trump “gives a speech tonight, in which he makes it sound like the biggest issue in the United States, the biggest threat is MS-13, a gang nobody that doesn’t watch Fox News has ever heard of.”
