A deeply felt preference for boys has left more than 63 million women statistically “missing” across India, and more than 21 million girls unwanted by their families, government officials say.
The skewed ratio of men to women is largely the result of sex-selective abortions, better nutrition and medical care for boys, according to the government’s annual economic survey, which was released Monday. In addition, the survey found that “families where a son is born are more likely to stop having children than families where a girl is born.”

India’s always been a sh!thole.
It’s also why India has a horrid rape culture. Millions of young men with no prospects of ever having a wife is never a good thing, particularly in a society that has a low opinion of women (and yes I realize that things may be different among the moneyed elites, highly educated and Bollywood crowd - but perhaps not).
So with China and India having excess males in this generation and the next is there going to be a war to reduce the excess male population?

I know what you mean. It’s the region. Nepalese and Pakistani women. I say bring them here. Let American women fight with each other over black men.
Indians just aren’t progressive enough. Abortion is legal but “sex-selective” abortion is illegal. Haven’t they heard of gender fluidity?

Why the cheap shot at black men?
So this AP headlines equates aborted female fetuses as “girls”. By extension, all aborted fetuses are “children”. I’m sure this isn’t what they meant to do, but their duplicity exposes truth. The real headline: “200 million murdered children missing in India”
I think you’re used to women from the Brahmin or Merchant class who really are into education. And, yes, some of them are exquisite. Where I am we obviously have lesser castes by the look of it! I don’t think they age particularly well.
I have read stories of Chinese crossing borders to abduct women to take as wives or to sell for wives. Viet Nam and North Korea are two that I remember.
They don’t really “abduct” - it’s usually a hard currency transaction with local crime syndicates.
