so, just reading the first line of the chart on page 12........a white male person living and breathing in the 1700’s in America on average would live to be in the late 40’s...................

Is that your take away...............?

Noooo, a 20 year old man living in 1760 can expect another 46 years of life.

Life and Death in The Liberty Era 1750-1800 | Legacy.com
www.legacy.com/life-and-death/the-liberty-era.html

1750-1800. In the days of the American Revolution, life is difficult and death often comes early. ... Life Expectancy. The average life expectancy during this era was 36.

Here’s another “opinion” from Legacy.com.

I don’t know what to think at this point. Reminds me of the dueling banjo’s.

LOL about the 5th one she’s missed. They just don’t have to wheel the body in. She’s picking up Mad max Waters for the MENSA meeting.

If two kids are born on 1/1/1770, and one dies in five years, and the other lives to the ripe old age of 67, what’s their average lifespan?

Yes! And that's exactly how the calculate the average expected lifespan at birth.

Mommy has 8 or 10 kids, half of them get buried before puberty.

If you made it to 20, you've seen half yous sibling pass, and that means to get the average up to 36 you and your surviving siblings need to live to your late sixties/early seventies.

We think of it as very unnatural to bury our children, that they should outlive us, but it wasn't always that way.

Before antibiotics and vaccines, before soap and water, if you wanted to have enough children to survive long enough to care for you in your old age, you'd better have a bunch of them.

Sad, but that was the reality for the entire human race since day one until the last century or so.

Soooooooooooooooo, I THINK what your saying to me is that ‘yes, the overall “average” life span was 36 BUT with a BIG BUT!”

Namely, that a whole lot of people had to live into their 60’s, 70’s and 80’s to get that average up to 36 AND this is because Soooooooooooooo many died at birth or within 5 years of birth.

If that’s what your saying, very good point, and I “get it”.

Old people often have great long-term memory and can’t remember what they had for lunch

She’s researching international law for her next opinion. She and Kennedy believe international law can be used in deciding cases on the US constitution.
