As we begin President Donald Trump's second year in office, the president's approval ratings are at the lowest level for any modern president at this point in his first term at just 39 percent.
But that's only half the story.

That's when the news gets better for the president, a lot better. The latest poll of polls by the Huffington Post has Schumer's approval rating at a measly 26 percent, 13 points lower than President Trump. The same poll of polls has Pelosi's approval rating just a hair better at just under 29 percent. Perhaps the only other Democrat who came close to holding the floor on the shutdown as often as Schumer and Pelosi did was Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, who holds an anemic 37 percent approval rating of his own. With enemies like these, who needs friends?

The second factor just coming to the surface is the better-than-expected early positive effect from the tax reform law. The congressional Republicans are already starting to poll better on the shoulders of all the news of bonuses, raises and increased corporate investments in America. This is all happening before the lower tax withholding rates take effect in February and millions of Americans will potentially see a noticeable increase in their paychecks.

The question is: What can be done this Fall.

Here we go again, more bogus poll numbers. When will people understand polls (IMO) are nothing more than getting people to support your opinion.
People are too busy spending their bonus checks to give a rat’s rear about polls.
In a couple of weeks, they’ll be collecting bigger paychecks.
They’ve seen their retirement accounts increase exponentially.
But, they’re supposed to be watching fake polls?
He hasn't lost any of his supporters or maybe just 2% but he has gained alot of #NeverTRUMPers & religious voters from all his Conservative policies!!!

Trump’s absolute maximum positive approval rating is 65% because the hard core left of this country and their sycophants (now about 35%) will “strongly disapprove” of him no matter what he does. If he somehow managed to cure cancer and send every single American a check for $50,000.00, 35% of the country would still strongly disapprove of him.
So 65% is running the table. Then you have to consider the dishonest nature of most modern polling and the effect of agenda driven fake news.
The bottom line for Trump is anything in the 40’s should be considered doing an excellent job.
Don’t believe any poll until you can read its internal breakdown of participants: Repubs, Dems, Inde.
Even when I was in high school back in the 70s, I understood that polls were used more to drive opinion than to measure it. Perhaps more people are coming to understand that basic fact, and that understanding is reflected in the growing variance of the polls from reality.
These are the same polls,that gave HELLARY an 11 point lead and a SURE WIN to the office of POTUS!!!!! Why in the,world would ANYONE believe a poll????
IIRC, Obama never polled above 45%, yet he was reelected to inflict another 4 years of destructive policies on us.
It isn’t so much a turning of the tide as it is a slow leak of the old media lies and ongoing attacks on a proAmerican President and his supporters. The old media continues to strangle attempts to support US citizens and taxpayers over illegal aliens. Keep fighting fellow American citizen Patriots and keep those crosshairs lined up on enemy number 1, the old media empire.
If we hold our own in the House and pick up 2 or three seats in the Senate (distinctly possible) the Rats,and their willing accomplices elsewhere,will be committing mass suicide!
In late October every poll was giving ILLary a 96% chance of winning.And MSLSD and Al Reuters were giving her a 115% chance of getting 400 EVs.
Just a week ago there was a major poll that had his approval at 46%.

We do have some concern trolls here on FR that would be only too happy to help lower Trump’s polling stats because they are so worried about DACA that they can’t think of anything else...
Republicans need to get onboard with MAGA and fight for it and publicly mock and criticize not only the Dems bot the establishment republicans who stand against it.
They need to motivate the MAGA voter, and remind them forcefully and regularly that they get it. If they think tax cuts alone will get them motivated they are going to lose a lot of close districts. In simple words they need to fight for America, day in and day out without fear. They need to show those MAGA voters they get it and they are going to fight for them day in and day out.
Eff the MSM, eff PC... do what is right and call out everyone, even their own party members who will not
Polls are garbage, every single poll that offers internals shows Trump has not lost a single supporter who voted for him. Polls are just doing what they always do, being used to try to create a narrative.
Just like they would lie, cheat and steal to show Hillary winning they will do the same to hold onto Trump is not popular.
