Taxes are never a good thing. I guess these states get to pay them now.

New Jersey limits the property tax deduction to $10,000 on its state returns. http://www.state.nj.us/treasury/taxation/njit35.shtml ("You may be able to deduct up to 100% of your property taxes or $10,000, whichever is less. ")

They seem to think that the $10,000 limit is a good idea.

It will be great to see them try to get the tax cuts declared unconstitutional!

This all costs the government money to defend the law, which, in the end, costs all of us money to placate clowns like Cuomo.

That suit - if it is actually filed - will go nowhere. While I can understand how people with high incomes, or pols from high-income states, don’t like this new law, the simple facts are:

1) The Congress has the authority, under the 16th Amendment, to pass income tax bills and send them to the President for signature;

2) The law in question is an income tax law which, prior to becoming law, was in fact passed by both Houses of Congress; and

3) President Donald John Trump signed the bill presented to him by Congress.

Thus, this is a legitimate law in all regards, whether any particular person or group likes that fact or not. The federal courts - whether at the District, Circuit or Supreme Court level, will use all their legal skills to politely tell Cuomo and the rest of these clowns to “go piss up a rope.”

"Great. NYS is over $4 bil in the red and Cuomo’s gonna pour taxpayer money down this ‘Rat hole...."

New York State is well over $353 billion in debt at the time of this comment. If you follow the link to look very soon, New York State's debt will not have passed $354 billion.

They want to claim it violates the 14th Amendment because it taxes certain people more than others? Do they even hear their own stupidity? If this law was ruled unconstitutional, then the entire income tax structure would also be unconstitutional.

He is claiming that it violates the 14th Amendment because it taxes some people more than others. LOL! Hello? A progressive income tax is one of the planks of the Communist Manifesto.

You think Connecticut will join the lawsuit after November? I think after Malloy, Connecticut will elect a Republican for governor...
