...and just to finish pissing everybody off, if you even READ polls these days, you are a prime candidate for a brain transplant.

Fortunately, I understand that many members of the bicameral Congressional American/African Black Caucus have dozens of brains available that have never been used...

I did not invent the brainless, divisive identity politics of tribe/race/feminism and other perversions, but I can play the game...

This might be a useful thing to study, right?

I mean, first off time was on Trump’s side, and if blame actually were split, then momentum to blame the DNC was inevitable.

At the same time, I’m not convinced this was accurate. Seems that internal polling might have explained the DNC’s rapid rout.

This was one bad idea — a spending shutdown to help non-citizens? Their A-Team is getting too old and burned out. I didn’t want to even tempt myself to post how stupid the DNC was being. Why tip them off?

Where have you been. The money to build the wall was authorized years ago so Schumer’s claim was bogus. The funds however were never appropriated which is necessary before they can be spent.

In other words this is FAKE NEWS and Schumer is trying to regain credibility for the ass kicking he took yesterday

Nice spin by NBC, but did they bother explaining why it ended with a FULL CAPITULATION by the Democrats?

Blame, for what? A three-day “shutdown” (two of which were on the weekend)?

The bottom line is the dems pitched a tantrum to allow ILLEGAL immigrants to route and plunder the taxpayers, and Trump called their bluff.

There is no way you can cut this to make it Trump’s fault. If anything it was Congress...ALL of Congress to did the voting...while Trump just watched.

Schumer caved when he found out how grossly ineffective and stupid the shutdown was, and quit.

The only thing Trump did was to stand his ground and protect the American people, the military, and the taxpayers.

“Dreamers” have no rights...only demands (and votes)...and I don’t think they even legally have the votes.

Schumer has a big egg on his face, dripping down his drugstore “nose glasses”.

“Trump’s fault” isn’t going to work this time around...Trump fights back.

And non political types want to just give an anodyne response because they don’t really care.

Past agreements are no guarantee of anything. I think I understand just fine!

Appropriations Clause
“No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time.
Article I, Section 9, Clause 7

The Appropriations Clause is the cornerstone of Congress’s “power of the purse.” It assigns to Congress the role of final arbiter of the use of public funds. The source of Congress’s power to spend derives from Article I, Section 8, Clause 1. The Appropriations Clause provides Congress with a mechanism to control or to limit spending by the federal government. The Framers chose the particular language of limitation, not authorization, for the first part of the clause and placed it in Section 9 of Article I, along with other restrictions on governmental actions to limit, most notably, executive action.”

Schumer made one agreement to re open government until 2/8/18 , and was attacked by Dems, then backtracked on what Dems would do on that date, trying to play hardball, simple.....not complicated! Schumer threatens again on Spending for Government Funding... over Wall now. This was a temporary fix for Spending Bill, and 6 yrs for Chip. Where have you been?

I see the Libs on Fakebook Posting a Meme that 87% of Americans approve of the DACA Program.

I’d be surprised if 87% of Americans know what DACA is.

You say past, agreements are no guarantee. If a law is passed in a previous Congressional session is it good when session ends? If the funds were authorized as part of legislation passed and signed then why is that authorization not still in place? Was there other legislation passed to overturn the original authorizing the wall?

I blame the Senate Republicans, for not having the GUTS to change their stupid rules about stopping debate with a SIMPLE MAJORITY instead of their 60-vote rule !

Well, I read through it and what it seems to say, relating to the wall money being authorized (the first part of the process which determine the total amount of money to be spent) and the actual appropriation which is actually spending of the sum (on the wall)was only half done.

In other words the money part of the total budget but it was never actually directed to the wall(appropriated) after the budget was signed.

In this light it seems you are right because the signed budget is just for one year.

I bet 7 out of 10 people didn’t even know the government was shut down.

Trump unlike the rest of the GOP is brave enough to put him up to bring them down.

Hopefully, that money for The Wall will be appropriated correctly on February 8th, however, with Schumer reneging on his original promise...it means DEMS will vote against it. The gang of 6 GOP need to be hounded to vote for it, and McConnell needs to be hammered to use Nuclear Option (51 votes), if that is how it goes! Otherwise, the government may be shutdown again.

DACA should be taken out of this Government Funding, after their Senate Floor Debates, as Trump may not sign anything. DACA is not 800,000 Dreamers, it is 3.5 or 3.6 million illegals, who claim to be Dreamers...enough to swing any election in Democrat’s favor! Hillary got 2 million illegal votes in 2016, mostly in CA. NH claims she did not win NH due to invalid votes...meaning she did not win popular vote, as they claim.

I must go, DR appt.
