White House press secretary Sarah Sanders confirmed Sunday military service members overseas will be able to watch NFL playoff games after the American Forces Network resumed broadcasting, despite the government shutdown.
"Update: @DeptofDefense has informed us that AFN has been restored in most places. Glad our brave men and women can watch the game today," Sanders tweeted.

The “shut-down” won’t last forever and is no big deal. The consequence of resolution of the shut down though is a very big deal.

Yes, in Germany, and I remember the Superbowl was a big deal because there was not a lot of real-time bandwidth between the U.S. and Europe in those days and converting from NTSC (525 lines) and PAL (625 lines) was expensive with analog circuitry.
