Tokyo (CNN)Japanese national broadcaster NHK issued an on-air apology Tuesday after issuing an alert incorrectly claiming that North Korea had launched a ballistic missile. The message, received by phone users with the NHK app installed on their devices, read: "NHK news alert. North Korea likely to have launched missile. The government J alert: evacuate inside the building or underground. " The broadcaster apologized for the error, adding "the news alert sent earlier about NK missile was a mistake. No government J alert was issued." The mistake was corrected within minutes.

The only evidence that lil’kim didn’t launch a missile at HI or Japan is that he isn’t bragging about it.

Once is a goof-up. Twice may be a coincidence.

The third time means negligence or someone with nefarious ends has access to these systems.

Hard to say definitively. Kim might be fretting over a submarine that's gone missing.

I wonder if someone from NK intel (directly or indirectly) paid these people to issue the false alerts. The intent would be for them to study our alert plans/responses/procedures. They could learn how long it takes, who does what, goes where. Maybe see if any additional radar systems are activated. Maybe learn how to fake an attack, wait XX minutes then launch the real one as everyone is just coming back out of shelter, etc. etc. Might not have been NK intel, maybe someone else who wanted to observe and collect that information, then sell it to NK...

I wonder that, if Hawaii was a system hack or purposeful covert test - and if they wanted to pull cover - they’d have to say that it was “human error”. Since they know that it really was not, they would not be able to “name” the offender. Instead, they’d have to say they took action against him/her with no other info offered. That said, what is to be gained and by whom for such a test or hack? It could have backfired to the state and I don’t see why the Koreans would care, unless it’s an infil op of some sort. The NORKS do have a few subs, right? Could they have snuggled something in, during Operation Chaos?
