The video don't come close to depicting the totality of this. OCSD air support was sent up not long ago. They were given a clicker to count the homeless between Green River Rd area and where it dumps into the ocean. It was reported in the media few thousand were counted. I was told the real numbers were much higer, into the tens of thousands.

Btw, you can tell where about this video was taken on the river, looking close you can see the Big A sign at Angel Stadium or whatever it's called now, near the end of the video, at center.

This is not the OC people knew of just a few decades ago. Not even close.

Doug, the root cause of homelessness in CA is due to their strict building and zoning codes, NIMBYism, and environmental mandates. Not to mention laws that favor tenants over landlords. That dries up supply of affordable housing.

Can’t look right now but if it’s along the Santa Ana riverbed I’ve seen it for real. Plus I’ve seen them along the 101 here. It’s not to be believed. I’m so sad my kids are growing used to this third worldness.

And around here, the ones you can even tell what race they could be are usually white or black, not hispanic. So probably not illegal. Illegals seem to all find places to stay. On the street you see more druggies and alkies and mentally ill.
