What no one in the media has mentioned is, yet again, it is the Democrats who have changed the standard for political discourse and put politics above country.
For decades, legislators have held private meetings with the President to negotiate contentious legislation. The entire value of these meetings is that parties on both sides are able to speak freely, articulate their positions, and reveal where there may be room for compromise.
Knowing how almost all politicians speak behind closed doors, those discussions are undoubtedly filled with profanity. LBJ purportedly unzipped his pants and exposed his genitals in one such meeting, as a way saying ‘don’t push me on this because I have the biggest **** and most power in the room’.
For Durbin to hold a press conference and quote/misquote what the President said in a private meeting, as a way of scoring political points is despicable. The fact is that today’s Democrats care nothing about whether they damage relationships and harm US interests, as long as the President looks bad.
Ten years from now, we will ask why Presidents will refuse to hold face-to-face meetings with the opposition to negotiate critical legislation. And we will look to Dick Durbin as the originator of the precedent that private negotiations aren’t really private.

Even though President Trump (and others) deny such a remark was made by him, the fact that certain sh**hole countries are complaining assures us that , indeed, they are sh**holes. Reality suck for them. Hahaha.

The argument that some countries (usually Mexico and those in central America) are too terrible to live in is a standard argument made in the Superior Courts in California whenever minors are going to be deported. While minor’s counsel obviously avoids the term “sh*thole”, the point is made that the minor should stay in the USA and not be deported because the “home” country is so bad.
The motions are routinely granted, as they are not adversary proceedings.
And yes, this is in state court, where jurisdiction is given by statues.

Third, if he did say it, there would still be NO EXCUSE for Durbin to ‘leak’ it out of a private working meeting......
4th, there would have been no excuse for Durbin to leak it knowing it would cause difficulties with those very shithole countries ...by leaking it, he does America damage

but Africa, get your house in order. The US sends tons of money and aid, AFIK, to help the people; most of it apparently enriches various dictators and not used for its intended purpose.
