His honest, blunt use of language is purposeful. It is one of his most effective weapons against the evil that we have been made to submit to.
1Peter 2:12 says, Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Amen. Praise the Lord!
We, the people, have been made to pay a very high price for admission to this event, so please pass the popcorn and lets enjoy the show!
We should.
We should also ask if the quote is truthful as well as being the truth.
Mr Brown does not feel the need to question if the off-springs of the father of lies is lying if it allows him to hit out at someone who offends his delicate sensibilities.
He would have major problems with Jesus who called the Pharisees "A generation of Vipers" and Psalm 137 would send him into a full out swoon.
But when it comes to the presidents recent comments, why cant we say, If this is an accurate quote, we reject it wholeheartedly, and we urge the president to clarify what he was saying and to reach out to the offended nations.
Because we have a he said, she said situation in which no Republican agrees that Mr. Trump is guilty as charged. And the Democrat has a history of lying. So the question embedded in the if is a vanity. What we know with relative certainty is that Senator Durbin, for purposes not related to the public good or bringing glory to God, has spoken ill of the leader of his people. And that people who are licensed by the government to broadcast in the public interest and to not broadcast profanity have broadcast not in the public interest by broadcasting Sen. Durbins profane speech which he rhetorically put in the presidents mouth.
We know that Senator Durbin is in the wrong even if his statement were true, and the more so if not. And we know that the objective journalist broadcasters are amplifying his mischief, to the detriment of American culture.
I see no virtue in assuming evil of the president in this case. If you assume Senator Durbin is telling the truth on the basis of his word alone, I am confident of one thing - he will make another, similar charge if he has opportunity in future. Mr. Trump would be as ill-advised to be alone with Mr. Durbin in future as he would be to allow himself to be alone in the oval office with a female intern.

Michael Brown is a first-class dumbass that fought against Trump tooth and nail even in the general election.
.............................
Brown had a funny way of fighting ‘tooth-and-nail against Trump in the general election’.
Dr. Brown voted for Trump.
God doesn’t like liars.

The comment that I said you had backwards you do in fact have backwards. Read it carefully and you will hopefully see what I mean.
Scripture is scripture. I’m not arguing with that one bit.
Your comment makes absolutely no sense, because you refer to explain fully yourself.
I don't know how you can deduce "backwards" from me posting verses from Romans and from Acts.
Further, I stated that the Bible (read Romans again bramps) clearly states that Christians are commanded to obey government, but clearly not to do so when the commandments of men conflict with the commandments of God.
I guess your word games are meant to imply that I do not put God first? Ummmmm.....if you a Christian, that is what you do.
I think you simply wanted to score cheap points on the thread by appearing "holier than thou" as in 'well, I put God first and you don't' - rather than adding to the discussion. If that's what you wanted to do, shame on you.
Dang, man. you are reading way too much into my very simple comment. Here is your ONLY quote that I am referring to:
Evangelical Christians are called to submit to government, up to a point - that point being when government asks us to choose God’s law and Word over government.
Your point was that Christians follow government except when government asked us to put government ahead of God, correct? But your quote says the opposite.
I am fairly certain you meant the second half of that sentence to read-’that point being when government asks us to choose government over God’s law.’
Geesh. A lot of sensitive people here today.
My apologies.
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities.
As they march Jews into death camps....
L
No problem, brother.
Excellent answer!!!!!
Yes!
I actually compare him to Peter....Peter held nothing back and was full of passion
( and yes, the Lord had to discipline him some)
But Peter was/is beloved!
And when evangelical leaders say things that their congregation disagree with, perhaps the congregation can make their views know to those leaders, by declaring that their leadership is ended, along with the tithes.
The media thinks they should be worshipped as gods.
They’re just jealous of Trump and because they are being called out for the liars they really are.
