Roseanne Barr said her character’s support for President Donald Trump in the revived sitcom “Roseanne” is a reflection of her own views and also true to the show’s roots.
The sitcom brings the Conner family and the life of the country up to date when it debuts March 27 on ABC.
“I’ve always attempted to portray a realistic portrait of the American people and of working class people. And in fact it was working class people who elected Trump,” Barr said Monday.

I was thinking along the same lines. Just like All in the Family made conservatives and Nixon supporters look like imbeciles. The same will be done to Trump supporters.

I understand the sentiment, as I never cared for Roseanne, but if she is a Trump supporter off-camera, why would she want to caricature herself? Assuming she’s calling the shots...
How so? Archie was the smartest guy on the show by far.

I recall the episode of "All in the Family" where Archie said he could end terrorists taking over airplanes. Just hand out handguns to each passenger as they board, and the passengers could take out the terrorists. Done in humor, but makes sense in a 2nd Amendment sort of way.
Rosanne, Rosie is a fat carpet muncher who hates Men especially Trump.
