It doesn't pass the laugh test. The FBI already had a copy of the document. And Ohr’s wife worked for Fusion GPS. McCain was just a useful idiot giving cover to Fusion GPS and the FBI.

Absolutely right, Fusion GPS reviewed the terrain and determined that McCain would be a willing patsy who would lend credibility to their trash dossier because he was too dumb to know any different and he had a burning hatred for Trump. It also provided the FBI public cover for how they got their hands on the dossier by saying it came from McCain.
