It does not matter that 99% of the turtles will be females. What matters is what each turtle feels its gender to be. There are probably thousands of sea turtles that identify with the dozens of genders currently recognized by the weirdo non-genderphobic sea turtles and with the dozens of genders yet to be discovered.
