Skip to comments. You'll miss me, Jersey! And with that, Chris Christie's just getting warmed up

The first time I asked Gov. Chris Christie a question we were 2,000 miles from New Jersey. I was a year into my first newspaper job in southeast New Mexico. Christie, just eight months into his first term, was there to stump for Susana Martinez's campaign for governor.
Noting the candidate's law-and-order record, Christie played up the Jersey shtick that worked so well for him.
"We invented pay-to-play," Christie joked to a crowd that treated him like a celebrity.
And then I asked the unoriginal question he'd gotten plenty already: You here to lay the groundwork for a presidential run?

Thanks for nothing, Stay Puft.
Better chubbsy than the demonrat thats taking his place.
But let’s dispell this notion that Barack Obama doesn’t know what he is doing. He knows exactly what he is doing!
But he did do a good job at taking out the Marco Bot.
New Jersey may miss him, but I wont.
If Chubbsy had done his job, Corslime Junior wouldn’t be succeeding him, but a competent Republican.
Open borders. Muslim suck-up. No thanks.
He started off promising and ended up morbidly disappointing.
The fat man has a point. When the gun grabbing tax jacking sanctuary state guy takes over people will be missing the guy in the beach chair.
Christie, I believed would have made a great AG. Only if he didnt screw up like most of them do. NJ will be much worse off with this new clown as its governor.
Sabotage Tancredo? He could have down it with 25 cents and a couple of box tops from Frosted Flakes.
Yup, though I had considerable worries he would be lousy, especially when he declared that illegals weren’t really criminals. Apparently, he didn’t comprehend what the word “illegal” means.
It was in his former position as U.S. Attorney it was beyond him to comprehend what “illegals” were. I wouldn’t have trusted him as AG. But had he been a competent and Conservative Governor, a like-minded individual would’ve succeeded him. RINO Governors almost always begat Democrats, so without him, Corslime Junior would not have won.
NJ will miss him. I know I will. Not because he was so great, but because this is NJ.
Chrispy Chreme is over.
Never to be elected to anything again.
How can anybody miss him? He has his own gravity well.
Christie is like that red shirt freshman quarterback carrying the clip board then all of a sudden he is first string. He shouldn’t have been Governor. Christie is a law and order guy and would have made a great AG.
I think Christie could still be a good special counsel for Trump, investigating the FBI and DOJ. Of course the media will go after him for Bridgegate, but he was never found guilty of anything there.
