These women seem to be of two varities: accomplices or passive cowards.

What a retrograde, twisted culture.

She absolutely should have called the law and saved the lives of the innocent victims. And that is indeed on her.

But as you say its a twisted retrograde culture. I do not know how I would have done in her shoes...having never been there. So I am not ready to condemn her. The people I do have a big problem with are fellow westerners who are cowardly toward the aggressions of Islam....not the poor souls that have grown up under the real oppressive danger of its evil shadow.

Absolutely. It’s a damned of you do, damned if you don’t culture for women. Often times they don’t know the details due to the MacBook of the men. If he got caught as a result of her turning him in, his family and friends would have killed the children, and then her.

Thanks. I feel a bit bad about advocating for her prosecution, but this was a terrible event.

We need to urge folks to tell us what they know, so we can avoid these things.

Either America requires good conduct of its immigrants or not. My grandparents were ever grateful for the chance to come here and taught me the same thing.

While I can empathize with a wife of a violent man, I also know she was free to run away from him. She knew enough of his plan so she has no wiggle room under our laws, no matter what part her psychological problems played in her choice.

I’m no lawyer but someone who has such fairly specific knowledge of the time and place of impending murder(s) is an “accessory” if they do not seek to prevent the crime. Certainly she had a moral duty to call 911, and a legal duty as well.

The concept is actually fairly interesting when you think about it. Some can be an 'accessory' just by being aware and not taking actions to prevent it, yet the supreme court has ruled on separate occasions that the police have no actual 'duty to protect' any individual or place. So, though she could be charged for knowing about it and not doing anything about it, if she'd reported it to the police, and they did nothing with the information, they could not be. It's nice the way the system protects its own.
