Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh said Thursday that he believes Stephen Bannon was responsible for the majority of the first-year leaks coming out of the Trump administration.
“The thing that I think everybody believes and that everybody knows is that most of the leaking that was coming out of the Trump White House was Steve Bannon,” Limbaugh said.
His comments come amid an intensifying feud between Trump and Bannon, his former chief strategist, after excerpts were published from a new book about the early days of the Trump White House that quoted Bannon harshly criticizing the president and his family.
The Trump administration has struggled with leaks since he took office and has previously accused Bannon of being responsible.
Limbaugh said on his first broadcast of the new year that he had “never heard” of Bannon before the Breitbart News chief joined the Trump campaign, and described him as “all over the place” with conflicting comments on the Trump administration.
“Bannon is all over the place,” Limbaugh said. “You go back to his '60 Minutes' interview where he was praising Trump to the hilt and he was saying that the Russian investigation was bogus and there was nothing to it. And now in this book he’s quoted as saying that Trump and [Donald] Trump Jr. were committing treason by dealing with the Russians. I never understood half of the president’s staffing. I never understood how he knew these people and ended up choosing them.”

After all the recent events with Steve Bannon I can believe this.
Unreal....these leaks were horrific. Every single day last year. These leaks caused total chaos for Trump & it was this SOB doing most of it ?
I gave up Rush because of what he did to Newt in Florida... via that Elliot Abrams hit piece on Newt... Jeffery Lord had to straighten ol Rush-bot out on the reality of Newt during Reagan era.
There are very few real patriots in the arena of politics on both sides of the political isle.
When I saw someone like Anthony Scaramucci in the White House, I assumed I was dealing with a president who didn’t give a sh!t about appearances and didn’t give a sh!t about leaks. LOL.

Before that, it was all leaks, all the time.

What a coincidence!
I think this is a great strategy to project so much chaos in the first year so that things can be systematically done behind the scene. It would not surprise me that Bannon and Trump are in this together. Remember, there is order in chaos... chaos is used in business during shakeup and reorganization. This may turn out to be the greatest political chess move in history.
And yet it seemed like half the leaks weren’t even accurate, so I wonder if it was all just a misdirection ploy from the White House.
Just from reading posts here, I wondered if Bannon had loose lips — and I’m not in-the-know.

when was Comey fired? we know he was a leaker also.
I know Bannon has apparently cracked up, but it is hard to believe he was a leaker of the type MikaJoe lived on daily last year to smear Trump.
However, Wolf was running through the halls of the East Wing this summer, when presumably Bannon was also interviewed by him and delivering these outrageous remarks against the family of the president.

This is a possibility I’ve considered, though I believe the possibility is pretty thin, not impossible. If it is true, then Trump is making an octuple or nothing bet on a roaring economy November ‘18 obliterating any and all opposition. I cannot say he hasn’t been fairly right so far. But if he is right about the economy, then he should not need this kind of sideshow and it’s hard at this early stage to see how it might help. I definitely get the strategy of apoplecticizing the left as much as possible.

If Bannon was the leaker and backstabber , he should go, but the snakes crawling out from under their rocks are all globalist types ... it’s not about Bannon , it’s about the message ... be wary of where this is going

The best experts on what Rush says and doesn’t say are those like you who never listen to him.
Bannon’s “message” has been clearly to undermine the President and the GOP as a whole for quite some time now - this is just the latest confirmation it has been going on since apparently the beginning. So yes, it is about that “message”. And Rush was discussing the fact that the Trumps themselves have already identified Bannon as the leaker.
SO MUCH has gotten done since this drunk Goldman alum get the axe.
