Some therapists claim they can turn children from gay to straight. It’s controversial counseling that, experts say, hurts children. 7’s Brian Entin investigates how one South Florida county is trying to stop it.
....Justin Flippen is the vice mayor of Wilton Manors, and is now comfortable with his sexuality. But he grew up Southern Baptist and spent years in conversion therapy in Broward County when he was a young adult. Justin says therapists tried to blame being gay on his parents’ divorce, and he says the therapy sessions confused him even more about who he really was.
...Eight South Florida cities have already taken action on their own since 2016, passing local laws banning conversion therapy. But Miami-Dade County voted down a ban.
....The Broward County Commission will vote on the conversion therapy ban next Tuesday. If it passes, therapists who violate the ban would face a $250 fine.

For those of you unfamiliar with Broward County politics, and Wilton Manors in particular, this will pass in a breeze. They won’t tolerate anything that threatens their precious “lifestyle.”
The government has no business in telling parents what treatment they can seek for a misguided minor child.
If my son were (god forbid) a sodomite or inclined to be, I would certainly be seeking out a therapist who could attempt to mitigate that. That is my RIGHT as a parent.
Sodomites do not reproduce, they recruit. This stands in the way of allowing them to create another one.
Suppose you wanted to change to being gay. Would they ban that?
If you have temptations that you don’t want to succumb, the government wants to make sure you succumb and not turn to Jesus. Definition of evil.
What experts? Aren’t those offering the therapy with the consent of parents experts as well? Being pro LBGTQWTH is not the same as being a disinterested expert with the patient’s best interest at heart. It is more likely to make one favor an agenda over the patient’s welfare.

Absolutely. They want more cult members and they cannot allow the ones already in the cult to leave. So, they scare them by telling them if they try to leave, they will die. The big lie is that reparative therapy will cause the patient to commit suicide. They tell them that they were born homosexual and they cannot go strait and trying to do so will make them so miserable that they will want to die. Too many in mainstream America are falling for the big lie and therein lies its power. America is being played by the gay mafia.
