Donald Trump has drawn a line in the sand on deal to keep the government operating past January 19. Democrats are demanding that Trump address the DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) program, which would legalize hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens. They say they won't vote to fund the government past the January 19 deadline unless DACA provisions are included.
Trump has upped the ante by making funding the border wall part of the deal, as well as the elimination of "chain migration" and the visa lottery. Trump is making the Democrats pay a heavy price for DACA by tying his approval to the continuing resolution to fund the government.
"The Democrats have been told, and fully understand, that there can be no DACA without the desperately needed WALL at the Southern Border and an END to the horrible Chain Migration & ridiculous Lottery System of Immigration etc," the president wrote on Friday. "We must protect our Country at all cost!" On Tuesday he added, "Democrats are doing nothing for DACA – just interested in politics."

No amnesty, no DACA....
Jeb Bush, or any of the other 15 candidates for the nomination would have backed down and said, “OK Dems, anything you want”.
Not Trump. This man fights.
Trump will push the limits on concessions, front loading as much as he can.
But in the campaign he never said he would stop DACA. He said the ex order was wrong and it was Congress’s job.
You will get some form of this. The only question is how much does Trump extract from the Ds for it.

If DACA or anything like it is included in any bill and is signed by Trump, then Trump and the Republican Party will lose all subsequent elections, regardless of anything else he or they might have done or may do from that point forward. Just like in Alabama with the Moore fiasco, the multitudes that made Trump’s election possible will never show up to vote again. Trump had better consider this and act accordingly.
DACA MUST BE ELIMINATED. This has always been a DemocRAT strategy to continue to modify the voting demographic in the USA. California is a good example of the impact of flooding the USA with illegals and other foreigners...all for POWER AND CONTROL.

The good news? By the time criminals are shipped back, self-deporters weed themselves out, you factor in non voters, and the small (20+%) who will vote R? The impact of ALL DACA is gonna be around 100,000,or not enough to shift anything unless they are all in one state.

Only agree to terms after the wall is built, not just funded, but actually built.

It still sucks that Trump is accepting the premise though. Why couldn’t he have eliminated DACA on day one?

i wonder what a shutdown will look like under Trump. My imagination is that it might be somewhat different. Can volunteers come into NPs and help out during a shutdown? What happens if 40-70% of the original fed NP workforce shows up for work, even during the shutdown? legal considerations? (liability issues?)
He should make each so called daca prove they entered country under 13 years old through no fault of their own
It is a good thing we finally have someone representing US, the citizens.
Every President since the last amnesty has refused to enforce the laws to further a bipartisan policy of flooding the country with foreigners.
That 100k is probably on the light side, the number that keeps being reported is 800k ? That actual number should be less for the reasons you point out. But we’re already hearing numbers like 2+ million would be covered in this amnesty.
Trump has to hold the line at only these (now grown) kids.
There is only one winning deal to be made on DACA.
700,000 already enrolled get a green card in exchange for complete wall funding, end anchor babies, end chain migration, mandatory e-verify for work and benefits, massively increased funding for expedited removals starting with the parents of the amnestied.
