California Has the Most Foreign-Born Residents

With 27 percent of California’s total population foreign-born — or not quite 10.5 million people — the state has more immigrants numerically than any other state and the greatest proportion of its total residents who are immigrants.

One in five people (or nearly that many) living in New York, New Jersey, Florida and Nevada also are foreign-born. West Virginia has the lowest portion of foreign-born people at 1.4 percent of the state’s total 1.8 million residents, Pew reports.

The chart explains a great deal of our political problems.

Yes, but what percentage of those “immigrants” are illegal aliens? THAT is the number I want to see.

No. Or The Great One would not have won it.

Amazing how ILLEGAL and LEGAL immigration have destroyed the chances of some states, like my own NY, going R.

Staten Island will always go R :)

Maybe Texas can annex us :)

It is at record levels. 13.5% of the U.S. population is foreign born.

If you count their children, the immigrant population in the U.S.A. is 60 million.

Good Grief!!!

It’s a MIRACLE Trump won!

Even my grandparents voted left. They came from a socialist background. But all the kids voted R once they were old enough.

Pop was hard right, like me :)

There’s nothing wrong with being foreign born, or an immigrant.

Both of my, now adult daughters, were born overseas, while I was sent overseas on concurrent travel orders, by the U.S. Army.

Add anchor babies to those foreign born, then ask how many of them are from 3rd world countries.

Superimpose that chart with:
1. States that have been "blue" for the last 15-20 years.
2. States that are seeing an out-migration (due to goofy laws, regulations, and taxes)
3. Which of those states allowed local and state tax deductions from federal taxes.

I would bet it would bolster some of the arguments that the political machines in those states see the way to maintaining power is to replace or dilute the indigenous population (i.e., people who decide they're sick of the B.S. and would "vote the bums out").

There are 435 congressional districts in the United States House of Representatives, with each one representing approximately 711,000 people.

Congressional districts are based on the number of people living in each state, not whether they are legal or illegal. States with large illegal populations have far more power in DC than they should have due to this fact. Think of the number of US Representatives that the left has because of their large number of illegals. It is amazing that Trump won.
