HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – A teenage girl was among two people who were shot and killed by security guards outside a pop-up teen club in Hillsborough County on Monday night.

Jyhaad D. Grant, 25, and Julissa D. Jackson, 15, were found dead inside a vehicle after they were shot by two security guards who said they feared for their lives. Grant and Jackson were Tampa residents.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded a 911 call at 11:30 pm about a shooting at a facility known as “The Club” located at 5809 50th St. N.

The facility is a storage building that is rented out for events.

About 150 to 200 people were attending a teen night “Pajama Jam” from 8 p.m. until midnight on Monday. The event closed early at 10:45 p.m. because of multiple fights, deputies said.

Investigators said the crowd was in the process of leaving when the armed security guards heard fireworks and then gun shots.

The security guards were investigating where the gun shots were coming from and saw a person firing a gun from a car, according to deputies.

Both security guards returned fire in fear of their lives, deputies said.

Grant and Jackson were found dead inside the vehicle. When deputies arrived, most of the crowd had left the scene.

Deputies have not yet released any details about who was shooting from the car or whether a gun was located.

Jackson leaves behind a 2-month-old son, according to her great-grandmother Elease Moore.

“She said ‘grandmamma, I’ll be right back, l’ll be back.’ She got halfway out the door and smiled and that was the last time I saw her alive,” Moore said.

Grant leaves behind a 2-month-old girl and his girlfriend of eight years.

Grant’s girlfriend, Angel Madison, said despite being arrested in the past, Grant was working to change his life around after learning he would become a father.

“I’ll let her know that he really, really loved her,” Madison said.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to raise funds for Grant’s funeral.

Madison said Grant was friends with Jackson’s family.

She said Jackson and her friends asked Grant to take them to the party and he decided to stay since he was already there.

Wow, that's actually in the article and not added by a FReeper wag.

A place where Blacks drink Hennessy, smoke weed, and bust caps at each other.

"a pop-up teen club in Hillsborough County"

What is a pop-up teen club? Same concept as a pop up shop, I guess.

and a pop-up teen club to boot.

Is it me or does that sound like a bunch of “teens” just randomly deciding to party at some spot?

What’s a teen club?

It's where 15-year old moms go to meet their future 25-year old baby daddies.

And, it was "pajama night" (which I'm pretty sure means teen moms in negligee and teddies, not the pajamas that our teen daughters sleep in).

"Jyhaad D. Grant"

Apparently this is the colored spelling of "Jihad". What a surprise.

People rent venues, black bag alcohol, renter sells setups and charges a cover charge to recover rent/expenses. Cheap on the fly nightclub especially in dry areas. Treated as a private party by local constabulary.

Had Grant survived the night this would have raised its head again had he run for office as a conservative in 2064.

Wow, that's actually in the article and not added by a FReeper wag.

And if you go to the article on Fox 13 News you'll learn that the 15-year old was turning her life around as well, because nothing says "turning my life around" like leaving your 2-month old baby home with great grandma (who's probably only in her 50s) to go off to the clubs.

I'm still trying to find the part where Jyhaad was an aspiring rapper. I'm sure it's out there somewhere.
