I have thought he is getting ready to retire for at least the last year. I hope Ben Stein does not replace him. I think he is too flippant.
I started listening to Rush way back in August of 1988. I’ve since retired myself but Rush was my consistent lunch hour entertainment and information source.
I thought the other day that he must be getting tired of the same diatribe day after day. You can only rant, rave and be indignant so long. He seemed more entertained by Barky but this Mueller mess really seems to be getting under his skin.
One bucket for money, one bucket for crap. When one gets full, you go home. His money bucket is overflowing with more than anyone can irrationally spend from just one year’s income.
I really like Nick, but you are correct; he shouldn’t give up his day job.
I have enough frustration in my life...I don't need this kind.
Right now I am very surprised by this extra day off. I am frustrated myself by his often taken off times.

Never heard of him before.... but he made some great points! I would have like to see Rush back, but he did a pretty good job from the bit I heard. Even pointed out the Obama-Iranian money deal.

This young man Herman is doing a fine job today. The actor last week was a HOOT and I thoroughly enjoyed that breath of fresh of air. Steyn is wonderful and I hope takes over when Rush leaves.
Which, by the way, Rush is entitled to do. “Oh where’s the old Rush who wouldn’t leave the EIB”? HE GOT OLDER! Do you still operate at the same level you did 20 years ago?
The only one I won’t listen to is Beck, since he decided he was going to be the next prophet and subsequently led Ted Cruz down the magic underwear path.

I don't know, but he sounds like he needs a valium. Dude is so shrill, I had to turn him off.
I've come to the conclusion that tissues stiffen with age, so that eardrums (in this case) lose the ability to respond to higher frequencies.
I know that I certainly have become more sensitive to high-pitched voices over the past few years.
However, ain't no way I'm going to avoid the great grand daughter and I may as well hang with the rest of the squeeky little voices out there as well.
Might miss something I'll regret later.
